VLC might have built in some error checking, so that if the thousands were left off it added them for the user. Did you go through and watch the entire video and double check that each caption came through properly in VLC or did you just play enough to see that they were some of them at the beginning were coming through?Įven if all of the captions came through in VLC, it doesn't mean that it fits the format. Without doing any testing, VLC might accept all of the valid lines while rejecting just those that have problems, while Arc might throw out the entire file if there is a single violation anywhere in the entire file. Having something work in a different program doesn't mean that it is formatted properly.
